Larry is out of favor.

Went out to service the feeders around the kitchen deck this morning. While filling the hanging BOSS feeder nearest the house (also near a niger feeder, a suet feeder and a syrup feeder) several (3 or 4 at least) hummingbirds seriously challenged my right to be there. 	Carolina Chickadees
	I haven't seen many Carolina chicadees this year but suddenly there is a dearth of them. I scattered some seed on the patio this morning. There were chickadees all over the place. 	Sorry to report the accidental death of a ruby throated male hummingbird. A friend of mine feeds them as I do and told me about an unfortunate accident today that killed one of his immature male hummingbirds. 	Black-throated Greens
	At Nelson Lake in Kane County, Illinois, I ran into a mixed flock that included chickadees, Indigo Buntings, a Downy Woodpecker, and Magnolia, Tennessee and Black-throated Green Warblers. 	The hummers have switched ????
	All summer long they have preferred the 48 ounce feeder by my south window. I had to refill it every day and a half. Now, it is being ignored and they prefer the 12 ounce feeder by my east window.
