Johnny Clamchowder has a HELL of a player in that John Wall. I wouldn't be at all suprised if that crew goes very very deep into March, just as I wouldn't be at all suprised if the NCAA already has a dosier three inches thick on violations committed since JC took that job.

The kid is amazing. Took the mighty NC Tarheels to school a few nights ago, and followed up with a repeat performance against UConn.
It's a long season, but if the basketball gawds don't interfere, Kentucky and Kansas are on a collision course. "Whooooaa, Nellie!"

I may be the only guy in KY who doesn't even consider b'ball a sport. But I can't tell our second son, he is a UK grad.

I watched just about every college game played by D. Rose and T. Evans, who were both dominate college PGs. John Wall is much further along than those two were at this point their careers. That's kinda scary. I rue Wall leaving Memphis for UK much more than I do the other John who took the big blue money and ran. [Note: Wall had not actually signed with Memphis yet, but you know he was going to, along with Cousins and Henry, if Cal had stayed.]

Don't sleep on Texas. They could pull a Florida and win both the BCS and March Madness championships.

Rick Barnes coaching a national champ team? Unlikely.

Yes - they would win a championship in spite of that guy, not because of him.

I'm sure you would. Collins is terrific and if ain't broke don't fix it. I bet you would stick with him if you also got to keep aldrich, Henry, etc., as well. Switch Wall and Collins, and I doubt Kentucky is still undefeated. Having lots of turnovers is pretty normal for a freshman PG at the beginning of his career, but all the other numbers he's putting up are not so normal. By midseason he'll have the turnovers under control. He'll also have a much better control of the pace of the game. If Wall were on my team, I wouldn't trade him for any player in America.

Only because UNC didn't even offer him. Which isn't surprising, since Cal apparently gets special treatment when violations are found anyway. First the "free pass" to go coach Kentucky with the Memphis violations behind him and then Wall getting a slap on the wrist for TAKING MONEY.

> Nice.
You sure sound bitter to be a fan of the defending national champs. Does everything have to be about UNC? Wall obviously wanted to play for Calipari, instead of Williams and UNC. There are plenty of basketball reasons that can explain that choice. I wouldn't necessily assume it was because Cal made a better financial offer than Roy did.

Uh, you might want to read some recent news rather than rely on the stuff from back before he signed:
"Wall's feelings were hurt. The Raleigh, N.C., native said he grew up bleeding blue - Carolina blue - calling the Tar Heels his favorite team as a child and Vince Carter his favorite player."
"I still don't have (a) clue," Wall said of UNC's decision not to offer him a scholarship.
Sounds like he goes to UNC if UNC offers. I mean he can't say that now without offending his coaches and teammates, but he all *but* said that, too. *shrug*
As for bitter, I'm not bitter. I would rather have a nice season developing some players and having a shot at a couple of national championships over the next three years than have taken the chance on this kid. And my point is that the sentiment is correct on that as he's ALREADY been proven to have done wrong.
Calipari is dirty. Wall is dirty. Perfect fit, obviously. And if the UK fans are happy with vacating final fours or even championships, then they deserve what they get.

Wah...
Try a tasty cheese with that 'whine'...and list Calipari's infractions.
Calipari turned Camby in and Rose was cleared by the NCAA to play for Memphis.
Hopin' and gettin' are two different things...
...Roy is overdue for a teary-eyed press conference after an early NCAA tourney exit, anyway.

Funfact: the reader can tell if it's a gen-u-wine mia post based on lack of capital letters.
