I believe Junior was referring to himself but talking to Yahoo Sprots, as in "oh yahoo sprots, here's the one word....'Junior!'"
you know, like when Bill Clinton told Monica Lewinsky he didn't have sex with that woman over there, the one he was pointing to, when he said "I didn't have sex with that woman (over there...that one)...Miss Lewinsky".
Caliperi is a stud..........that's the bottom line. I don't give a **** whether or not derrick rose can score X on the sat.
But it's particularly coming from a uconn basketball fan. After all their program has a sterling reputation and all. Which reminds me, I need a new laptop soon........

The only issue is if Memphis knew about it, or even worse, arranged it. Otherwise if this was something they had no part of, and was completely Rose's doing, then IAWTP.

"Should have known" is another potential problem. If he went from a 750 to an 1100, etc it should have raised red flags. Otherwise, isn't this a problem with the NCAA clearing house? There are a couple other issues, but that one is the potential killer.

Is there a figure for the usual improvement in re-testing? I believe that one either the SAT or ACT (if that last one's still around) you could take it up to three times.

"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." (John Stuart Mill)
Ironic, given that even if they do have their 2008 tournament run vacated, ESPN will still count it when they list how many times Memphis or Calipari have gone to the Final Four (with a footnote at the bottom saying that one of the tournaments was vacated "but this is ESPN, not The Learning Channel, so who the hell cares if the player was eligible or not; it's what you bring to the court that matters."
I think the big question is, if Rose did cheat on his SAT, did that make him automatically ineligible? Pardon me for bringing up what appears to be one of my favorite subjects at RSBC, but I think the only real problem that Memphis is going to face is Conference USA losing the money (about $6.5 million over the next five years) they would have received for Memphis reaching the Final Four, plus they have to give back the 2009 money they got for it - and I wouldn't be surprised if the other CUSA schools "ask" that Memphis reimburse them for the now-missing money.

Well, technically he really did go to those Final Fours. Pointing out it was vacated seems perfectly appropriate, as in "you slimeball".

yes, different violations, but still of the major variety....Calimari "knows nothing", leaves for a new school, old program left in shambles.

There's two things that slither like squid, and on of them is squid. In fact "squid" is an onomatopoeia.

what's the over/under on the probationary period UK will be placed on once Calimari leaves them for the NBA?

I believe the over/under is life.... I, for one, am taking the over....
